Does the plugin install without errors? If so, you should be able to go to the Appearance Preferences and select Menu in the command interface dropdown.
If that doesn't help, we'll need to know more information. What version of OS X and quicksilver are you using? The menu interface plugin just adds a little quicksilver icon to the menu bar correct? I'm on 10.5 with quicksilver B56a2 (latest I could get quicksilver to work) and it works fine.
