In QS preferences, go to the catalogue and make sure Disks are activated in the Devices list of the System section. Also, freshly mounted volumes of any sort (real disks, network volumes, disk images) won't show up in the catalogue until QS re-scans. This usually happens automatically ever few minutes, but your settings may be different.
