I think I agree that would be useful.

For commonly done things I create triggers to make them really easy to execute.

Quicksilver on startup doesn't really remember commands (all 2 or 3 panes) as much as objects (just the first pane). The action presented is the default action for that object. There is a Recent Objects catalog entry in the catalog under Quicksilver. You could create a trigger of Recent Objects (Show Contents) and use that to invoke Quicksilver. It should at least give you recent objects with the default action. Note, I have Recent Objects unchecked in my catalog and I don't remember if there's a problem with it.

All the things one would normally do with a history list, such as pick
a command from the ones I've given to Quicksilver in the last several
invocations, without constructing it again.

I also noticed there are some commands that I really repetitively
issue, such as connecting to certain servers, which would likely be in
this imaginary history list if it's been issued fairly recently; but
it would also be cool to have Quicksilver collect a list of
historically frequently issued commands and show it when I invoke
Quicksilver (but before I start searching for an object or hitting
tab).

What specifically do you want to do with it?

Is there a way to configure Quicksilver such that upon invocation, the
historyof recent commands are displayed, rather than the list of
results of the last search?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
