Quicksilver is not meant for that. With large number of files added to the Catalog, Quicksilver will slow down or crash. If you want to add files and folders to be shown by quicksilver, go to preferences>>catalog>>click on "+">>File and folder scanner. Then select the folder or volume. Hit return. Click on "i" in th bottom toolbar and add appropriate depth in the contents pane.
