here's the gist:

* i like the twitter format.
* i often have to send short notes (SMS style) to one of my close
contacts both business and personal.
* i have found the QS 'send directly' command to be annoying partially
because it insists on scanning my entire (1000+) mac address book (or
any other address source)
* i have unsuccessfully searched for ways to make 'send directly to'
work with some kind of 'quicklist' (not recent email addresses) that i
can set up manually to include my top twenty contacts, etc.

*question:* has anyone been able to cobble together something that
does this? is it off the shelf and easy or would it require a bit of
tweaking?

on a slightly related note: QS continues to be my favorite mac tool of
all time even after getting that newfangled google search thingy by
Alcor and using all kinds of other tools. i've even recently
discovered the power of triggers in depth (Assigning apps to my
macbook's function keys) and its just amazing what you can do with
this tool. i've also not been updating or messing with my setup too
much or updating for fear of unnecessarily breaking it.
