i think i finally figured out what was going on when i could get a script to sometimes come up in the object pane followed by 'run' in the second pane and when it had to be run as an 'action' on an already selected object. here's my theory:
1 - scripts in the 'user scripts' or any other 'scripts' folder that is indexed by quicksilver can be run directly without any prior text or object selection. 2 - scripts that are in '/Users/yourusernam/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/actions' can only be run as actions meaning they need an 'object' to run on and will therefore never show up in the first pane. assuming my explanation is accurate, this means that one would either have to copy a script they wanted to run standalone to the 'user scripts' folder from the 'actions' folder or move it and eliminate its use as an 'action'. would any of the more experienced QS users chime in here on the QS algorithms as relate to this and and their experiences?
