Applescript can help you finsih your task from start to end by only 
pressing one hotkey. But you need to be more specific on how your Text 
file is updated (is text appended or prepended or is the existing text 
changed, can some contents in the document identify that an update has 
taken place) and where exactly do you paste it in Numbers.
