No they don't. They stay forever, unless manually deleted, and that is
a rare occurrence. However, threads do close automatically after 30
days of inactivity, so that no new posts can be added to dead
discussions. I personally like that, since I hate thread necromancy.

can you explain why i see only 4 results when I search for B56a6? None
of them point to the threads that I created though I have included
"B56a6" in the subject itself.
