The issue that Ian reports in this thread is one identical to my own:

1. Create any web-search trigger (starting with qss-)
2. Press Command-X so the last pane says "type to search"
3. Assign hotkey to trigger. Trigger works normally
4. Quit Quicksilver (for any reason, including system shutdown)
5. Hotkey gets replaced with a <null> command that does nothing

I have followed the numerous discussions on this and related issues,
have tried several of the suggestions, and the problem comes back. I
seem to remember Etienne explaining the 'null' reaction, but I could
not fully understand; nor did he suggest a fix. I'm waiting patiently
for those who know how to fix this; much gratitude to all of you who
have kept QS alive, even in slightly broken form (it has never been
perfect).
