If you make sure you have the correct app in the first pane (i.e. firefox), then in the second pane search for the action 'assign abbreviation...' then you can type in 'fire' in the third pane to make quicksilver associate firefox with 'fire'. You may need to do this a few times to get it above firefox-parallels if you've been accidentally hitting return quite a bit.
If you're new to QS, I suggest you download Howard's manual and look in that if there's ever something you're unsure about. It pretty much covers everything! You can get it here: http://mysite.verizon.net/hmelman/Quicksilver.pdf<http://www.google.com/url?sa=D&q=http://mysite.verizon.net/hmelman/Quicksilver.pdf&usg=AFQjCNF-snjgdlj6eA8MRBpmUBYuiQ1ruA> (or see the first topic in this forum) Patrick 2009/12/13 mdub <[email protected]> > Dear Users: > Does anyone know how to manually change the rank order of search > results when first typing into the QS window (after cntrl-space)? > I type "fire" and firefox-parallels comes up first in the list with > firefox in os x second.
