Type Safari Select Safari Bookmarks (Catalog) Select the URL you want to launch Assign abbreviation Hit Enter
For Firefox you will need to export to export your bookmarks (that's what I have to do to get it working)
Once QS caches your abbreviation you should be able to just type abbreviation
