Depending on what you're doing, QS can sometimes take up lots of RAM.

First port of call would be to check you catalog size. Do you have any items
in your catalog that you don't actually need in there? Getting rid of them
will help reduce QS's footprint.

Installing lots of plugins you don't need will also do the same.

Try restarting QS and see if that reduces it.
Also, there are lots of memory leaks that we're slowly getting through and
fixing (if not making more at the same time :( )
