Append selected text to a text file?

I often accumulate text from two or three locations (e.g.
     1) a URL from the current Firefox page,
     2) a block of selected text from that page
     3) a 2nd Firefox URL that got me to (1) above)
and manually assemble the info in a scratch TextEdit
file as I go along. Can QS be programmed to open
TextEdit and copy and paste selected text (whether in
a URL address field or on a web page) to semi-
automate the process for me?
