One of the volume keys on my Powerbook stopped working, so I have been trying to use QS to create a trigger that runs a decrease volume Applescript. I found scripts online that do this, saved them, then created a new trigger, dragged the script into the top window and chose Save. I then assigned a keyboard shortcut, and they seem to work. The only problem is that the window that pops up when they run is just the speaker icon, but it doesn't show the volume bar below it which would normally increase or decrease with the standard volume up/ down keys. Any way to make this the system volume window so I can see the volume bar going up and down? Or, is there a simpler way to reassign the volume down action on the F4 key to another F key which works? Thanks for the help!
