The default catalogue rescan is 10 mins I believe. You can also use
'catalog rescan' in the first pane then hit return as well as Cmd-R

Alternatively if you move the application using QS the nxt time you
open QS that application will be ready for you in the Applications
folder. What I do is open QS, then drag the application from the
mounted dmg onto the open QS, tab right, move to... & Applications
folder in the third pane. Once moved reopen QS & hit return.

Of course you could just send the application to QS using your
favourite trigger too so as not to have to open QS at first.
