Yes, it seems that Quicksilver is not receiving characters entered
using the option (⌥) key. Since I am using a North American English
keyboard layout, I can enter # into QS because it is typed by pressing
⇧2; however, I cannot enter £ into QS because it is typed by pressing
⌥3. I do not know why this is. It doesn't have anything to do with
triggers.

What version of QS are you using, and what operating system?
