The Current Selection proxy is partially broken in β58. In theory, it is supposed to transparently provide the actions appropriate to whatever its contents are, but it is not doing that at the moment. Instead, if you use it you must press → or / to get to the actual contents of the proxy object, and then you can choose an action in the second pane. This means that using the Current Selection proxy object in a trigger will not work in β58.
