Rob - thanks for the useful tips. I see the SBB when I hover pointer over the QS menubar icon and it usually comes back to life after a whole but I kill it if I'm unsure or impatient. This has been happening more often in the last few months. I must have changed something.
On that note has anyone really used time machine to roll back to specific application configurations in osx? Is it straightforward if so?
