I've done a quick fix, as suggested by Rob.

There is now an 'alternate action' called 'open url in background'

To use it, just hold CMD while hitting enter.

As this is only a hot fix, everything doesn't seem to be working
perfectly - for some reason you can't search for the action in the 2nd
pane even though it shows up in the prefs.

You can download it from:

http://qsapp.com/plugins/

(P.S. - yes, I've bought qsapp.com. Hopefully we'll finally be able to
pull everything into one place!
Anybody want to help out getting it set up? I've already made a test
wiki http://qsapp.com/wiki )
