You can hit Escape to get out of text entry mode, but I’m not sure why that’s coming up by default. I only have one theory, so I hope this is it: * Go to the Triggers section of the Preferences. * Choose “Quicksilver” on the left Is there a shortcut assigned to “Command Window in Text Mode”? Is it the same shortcut you use to invoke Quicksilver? If so, you might want to assign something else to that trigger or just disable it entirely by unchecking it. > As result, when I hit Enter, the text I type, flashes on my screen like a > waterproof. That’s the “Large Type” action, which is the default for text. If you hit Tab instead of Return, you can select a different action, but that’s not much good if you didn’t want to enter text in the first place. > I can correct this by changing the direction of the carrot located on > the far right of the Subject line to pointing down. Clicking outside the text area is the same as hitting Escape. That’s why this works. -- Rob McBroom <http://www.skurfer.com/>
