It works after I enabled 'running processes' in the catalog with the
option of including background processes. BTW it also works with
applications that do not have a dock icon like alarm clock, sparrow
etc. However, I noticed that the catalog of running processes is not
'instantaneously' updated when a new app starts running so it does not
always work as desired.
