If you install the Safari module (which I assume you already have, since you
have your bookmarks in the catalog)
you can:

a) Uncheck the bookmarks catalog entry in Preferences -> Catalog -> Modules
-> Safari
b) Whenever you want just your Safari bookmarks, bring safari up in the 1st
pane, right arrow into it (by hitting the right arrow or / key) then go to
'bookmarks menu' or 'bookmarks bar' depending on where the bookmarks are.
c) away you go!
