The first thing that came to mind when I read this was another feature
request: Sorting folders (or more general: the result list) by date
(with a shortcut):

If this were implemented, you could just call up your specific
download folder, sort by date and then you'd have the latest specific
download. And could even get to the ones before the very latest (which
is something I need quite often).
If that would work well for you, add a comment to that request, so
we'd see that there's a larger need for that.

Another idea might be to have the latest downloads proxy object
configurable. So you could change the default folder, or add more
folders. It would then search all these folders for the latest object.

Just throwing some ideas out there. :-)

Also, it's best to add feature request to github
(https://github.com/quicksilver/Quicksilver/issues -> New Issue). It's
just easier to keep track of them there.
