It probably flip flops that way because you have done so in the past
it and it remembered what you picked.
Try training QS: pick one abbreviation for photoshop, type it, and
right click photoshop in the results and "Make default", do the same
for photobooth with another abbreviation. Try and stick with the
abbreviation you pick and it should start feeling natural.
