Q.s. re-activates after command is given

Hey all. This may be an easy pref. setting, but I can't figure it
out...right after I execute my command(hit enter), the window reopens
ready for a new command, even though I didn't press my hotkeys again.
Any help is much appreciated. [running lion on mid 2010 mbp]
