Thanks, Henning. Yes, I remember that it was that one that caused it to crash. 
Removing it did the trick.

I think I'll hold off till I get more conversant with QS. I find myself wanting 
to do more than just launch apps, e.g., to issue commands to them once they're 
running, or maybe while launching them. E.g., I'd like to be able to tell Mail 
to start a new message. 

And with some of my apps I haven't hit on the right key sequence to bring them 
up immediately. I have to wait for the list of other possibilities to show. 

I'd made a note to myself to start checking out "triggers." Don't know whether 
that's relevant to where I find myself now or not. I suspect to the latter, 
yes. Maybe not to the former.
