I just fixed the same problem - I assumed it was because I was running the new B62, but you're not so I figured it's unrelated.
Like you, I uninstalled the FF plugin. I purged caches. I re- installed the FF plugin. Still didn't fix it! I selected the FF module in the catalog and clicked "i" and clicked the "Create Copy" button on the Attributes tab. This creates a copy of the FF catalog entry in the Custom section. I clicked "i" and in the profile I updated the Source to point directly to the bookmarks.html file... the original plugin includes the wildcard "*". Don't know why it worked before and not now, but that fixed it. Maybe it's FF v8??
