I just fixed the same problem - I assumed it was because I was running
the new B62, but you're not so I figured it's unrelated.

Like you, I uninstalled the FF plugin.  I purged caches.  I re-
installed the FF plugin.  Still didn't fix it!  I selected the FF
module in the catalog and clicked "i" and clicked the "Create Copy"
button on the Attributes tab.  This creates a copy of the FF catalog
entry in the Custom section.  I clicked "i" and in the profile I
updated the Source to point directly to the bookmarks.html file... the
original plugin includes the wildcard "*".

Don't know why it worked before and not now, but that fixed it.  Maybe
it's FF v8??
