If you are seeing this problem when trying to update Quicksivler ß61 or ß62, this is a known bug.
Both these versions of Quicksilver had a serious bug that broke automatic updating. Please download and install the latest version of Quicksilver manually from http://qsapp.com/download.php Once you have done this, you will not see the problem again.
