We’ve started adding the user friendly version numbers, but the hexadecimal 
style is still there too and that’s what Quicksilver actually looks at when 
deciding which is newer.

I haven’t worked on the update system directly, so I’m not completely familiar 
with it, but this is surely an odd one. Hopefully someone more familiar with it 
will have some ideas. It might get more visibility if you open an issue on 
GitHub.
