FYI, as a work around, another really useful way to get to the clipboard
history (or shelf) is to create a trigger with Clipboard History in the first
pane and the action Show Contents in the second pane. When you activate the
trigger, you can type in the first pane and use QS matching to search the
history for text.

If my hands are on the keyboard I use this method as I find it much faster, if
my hands are on the mouse I use the slide out panel at the edge of the screen
(though I suppose you could use a mouse trigger or constellation menu as an
alternative mouse-based method).

To do the same for the shelf make a trigger with Shelf in the first pane and
the action Show Contents. These two items (Clipboard History and Shelf) appear
in the Catalog under Modules, Shelf & Clipboard, make sure they are enabled
(checked) to activate them.
