Thanks Patrick, that worked. It was sufficient to do what you said and run
the following command(s):

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/
LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain
local -domain system -domain user
killall Dock

Rob: I already have a few "Open with [particular application]" shortcuts,
but I don't want to create too many of those. I didn't think of having them
scoped only to Quicksilver, though.
