I upgraded to ß68 yesterday and after reading your post I noticed the lack of web searches. Select Preferences / Catalog / Modules / Web Searches to check if objects are scanned. If not, click Rescan source on the bottom right. You can verify this by clicking also on the bottom right Show Info, then Contents in the pane.
