Using the web search plug-in, I mean. For me, (once the text is in the first
pane) I only have to hit

    ⇥ f ⇥ g ↩

to run "text" → Find With… → DuckDuckGo. Typing 'g' is an old habit when
searching for some reason. ;-)

Either you didn't know about this way to search, or you don't think it's
"easy", which is a little ridiculous in my opinion. I realize by using the
service, you only need to deal with the second pane and tab once, but it's not
like the other way is terrible. :-)

Having said that, it's possible to get it to a single keystroke with a trigger.
For instance, make a trigger for Quicksilver Selection → Find With… → Google,
set its scope so it only works in Quicksilver, and assign it a keystroke.

Now, it occurs to me as I go through this yet again that if the Services Menu
plug-in can add new actions programmatically, why can't the Web Search plug-in
do the same? In other words, it should be possible to enhance the Web Search
plug-in so all of the web searches in your catalog become actions too, so you
can just pick a search engine in the second pane and go. I've added a
[comment][1] to an open issue listing some planned enhancements. You can follow
the progress there.
