Hi,

I'm a relative newbie into digging deeper into QS' functionality. When I
had first gotten quicksilver (running some old version on os 10.4 back then
I believe) I really enjoyed its merging of web search & application
loading, stuff on my own mac, etc., into one app, but shortly thereafter
some version made compatibility with the web search plugin stop. I've been
kind of ok with it just being a quick loader for the past few years, but
now I want that functionality back as I switched to Chrome as Firefox was
being a slug on my old 2007 intel blackbook and I don't like how Chrome
does searches in-browser (mainly, I want instant QS web searches of
Wikipedia, and any other search engine I had working in the Firefox
pulldown menu).

I've got the new ß70 version of QS, the most recent Web Search Plugin
(2.6.0 from the proper qsapp.com repository), but a couple of things are
obviously going wrong. Yes I made sure Web Search Plugin is checked in
Preferences>Plugins, but nothing for the Web Search Plugin appears anywhere
in the catalog, even after innumerable Rescans, a couple clean reinstalls
of the plugin, checking permissions on my catalog files & the plugin file.
What's more is I can't find the Search For... action anywhere in the
actions list, either by searching the whole list of actions or browsing
each category by itself.

Other maybe important stuff, this is running with the Chrome plugin
(1.1.1), and the Firefox/Mozilla module (0.5.0) both active.

Thanks for any troubleshooting you guys might be able to offer,

Chris

p.s. forgive me if this is out of date, but I gleaned from one of your
githubs that you guys are weighing whether to include Web Search as an
inherent part of QS rather than a plugin, I'm no developer or anything and
am certainly not privy to the detail of your guys' current process, but I
would definitely give both thumbs way up to that idea as it is to me one of
the original big selling points (it's sort-of simple but wonderful learning
A.I. being the other imo) of QS over spotlight. Thanks again.
