Also, see if you have the “Show children in result list” preference enabled 
(under Preferences → Command). That option is the surest way to make 
Quicksilver run like crap.

Another thing that works with Quicksilver but isn’t specific to it: When an 
Open/Save dialog is showing, you can drag a folder to it from another window to 
set its location to that folder. Makes you reach for the mouse, but it’s an 
option.
