Take a look at the plugin documentation in the plugins prefs<http://qs.qsapp.com/plugins>. Select the calendar plugin then press ⌘⌥? or open the drawer and click the '?' button.
I've not hear about the errors you say you're getting. Try looking at the docs, then get back to us if you're still having problems.
