Last prerelease, last plugins here. Double checked the Services Menu Plugin 
version.
FWIW I use a MacBook Air (MacBookAir5,2) and OS X 10.8.2 (12C3012).

The reason I say this is because your Quicksilver.app name is actually 
> "Quıcĸsıɩⅴεʀ.app" which has not been the name for some time now!

Text mode behaves like the following captures show, if I first off after 
launching QS input text and send it to the default action hitting return.

This state never reverts to normal until I restart and/or clear caches and 
at first input text and hit tab.
