I am new to Quicksilver and trying to compose a new email message. I use Microsoft Office 2011/Outlook for Mac. Is it possible to compose a message

The closest you can get right now is to select an e-mail address (by selecting a contact and hitting → or /) and then select the “Open E-mail URL” action in the second pane.

That will tell OS X to open a blank message in your default mail client with the `To:` header filled in. Assuming you’ve set your default client to Outlook, it will mostly do what you want.

For the more advanced stuff, like selecting files or text and sending to multiple people, there needs to be a plug-in for your mail client. Currently, there are plug-ins for:

  * Apple Mail
  * MailMate
  * Gmail
