I see chown in the log there. Did you run chown yourself? If so, why? When installing Quicksilver there should be no need to do that. The system ought to simply pop up and ask for your administrator name and password if it needs them to make modifications to /Applications (e.g. by adding a new application). And if you did run chown, what parameters did you use? Depending on what they were, that could be interfering with Quicksilver's ability to execute properly.
