I am running 10.9.1 and have QS set to open at login. I do not have the "show in dock" option checked yet the QS icon shows in the dock, which I

Does it only appear when Quicksilver’s running, or is it there all the time?

I've clicked "hide" but it doesn't do anything.

That hides the application’s windows, which is generally not applicable to Quicksilver. (Definitely don’t check “Hide” next to QS in your Login Items.)

Can anyone advise how to get rid of it? I don't like having extraneous icons in my dock.

What version of Quicksilver are you running?
