Although the QL action uses /usr/bin/qlmanage Accessibility Inspector recognises the QL window. Also, System Events does talk to qlmanage — my script works fine. And /System/Library/Frameworks/QuickLook.framework/Versions/A/Resources/ *quicklookd.app*/Contents/MacOS/*qlmanage* is launched as an application. I don't know how to set the scope in this case.
