I've recently installed quicksilver (current) on a fresh install of
Mavericks. It has pretty default settings. However, there's one weird
thing:
Activate quicksilver, type 'De' to get the Desktop and hit '/' to
browse it.
Now I can browse the files/folders inside the desktop folder using
arrow
keys. However, if I hit 'm' (for example) to jump to Mac HD,
quicksilver
forgets entirely that I was browsing the Desktop folder and goes back
to a
global search.
I've scoured the preferences and I can't find any timeout for browsing
or
anything to control this behavior. Quickly navigating my folder
hierarchy
is one of the main reasons I use quicksilver so this makes it really
frustrating.
I think maybe your results list was set to “Filter Catalog” mode.
After hitting /, try hitting ⌘→ to switch the mode. (You should be
able to see/change the mode in the upper right part of the results
list.) You probably want “Filter Results”.
As of version 1.1.0, “Filter Results” *should* be the default.
