I thought I would share a tip I have been using without really
thinking
about it. Any Pane 2 AppleScript that takes a text argument can also
be
used in the first pane. When you select a Text Action AppleScript in
the
first pane instead of getting the Run action you will get the "Process
Text..." action and be prompted for the text in the third pane. This
can be
very useful for making Triggers for TextAction AppleScripts.
I thought that was common knowledge. :-) Probably good to point it out.
With that in mind I have added "'~/Library/Application
Support/Quicksilver/Actions/" to my catalog.
I guess it depends on what you have in that folder, but not all of them
will necessarily be “safe” to use in the first pane. I’d just
symlink some of them, or use tags to add specific ones. (Something
I’ll go do now. I’ve just been keeping two copies of such scripts in
different places for years.)
