Thanks for getting back to me Rob.  Did as you suggested.   Disabled 
plugins in groups, killed QS and relaunched.  Regardless of what I do, I no 
longer have Open as an option.  If I look at my list of Actions, under "All 
Actions" I have (checked off) an option for Open (Reveal).  However, if I 
click on Applications in the left sidebar, Open isn't listed as an 
option.   I'm given:

Activate
Toggle Application
Hide Others
Quite
Hide
Quit Others
Relaunch

That's it.   Really hoping there's a fix for this.   Thanks.
