I just did a fresh install of Yosemite on a new drive. I am getting it

set up and am noticing an odd behavior in QS.
Previously, I could use Command-G to select any file(s) I wanted and

files it will respond to. I can move a txt file but not a pdf file. I

been going bonkers trying to figure out why this isn't working.
For one of the files where it isn’t working, run this command in
Terminal and let me know what it says:
mdls -name kMDItemContentTypeTree /path/to/file.pdf
(One easy way to do this is to type “mdls -name kMDItemContentTypeTree
”, with the space at the end, then drop the file onto the Terminal
window from Quicksilver or Finder.)
