This often happens when -[NSImage setFlipped:] is used. According to Apple’s 
Docs:

> The flipped property of an image was widely misunderstood and has been

Which pretty much says it all. I’d guess that if you got rid of setFlipped: and 
replaced it with the suggested method (where needed) it’ll magically sort out 
the problem.
I know we had this problem with QS itself, and I fixed it by just removing 
(almost) all setFlipped calls.
