Ranks are also influenced by how often you use something. So if you use
an abbreviation for the first time and it matches 10 things, and
you’ve launched one of those things 100 times using another
abbreviation, it will still rank higher.
So it possible you’ve used Quicksilver to open all those higher ranked
items in the past?
Something I forgot to mention yesterday… You don’t have to type the
abbreviation you plan to use then scroll through pages of results to
find the thing. Type way more than you normally plan to (enough to get
an exact match), then run the “Assign Abbreviation…” action on it
and enter the shorter string.
