It seems like it should be simpler, but this is how I've done that kind of thing: you can bookmark the url for google calendar, then export the bookmark from your browser. Then drag the exported bookmark file to the custom area of your catalog, choosing "include Contents: HTML links" in the pull-out information drawer. Now that the url is in your catalog you can assign an abbreviation to it.
