That message is aimed at developers, not users. You could make the change, but then Gatekeeper would refuse to launch Quicksilver because it would appear tampered with. :-)

It’s because OS X is now preventing certain connections if they don’t use HTTPS.

We can fix this in the next release, but you might not be notified about it automatically if Quicksilver can’t contact the update system.

We’ll announce the next release in this group for sure.
