Your screenshot shows that you have the first pane in text mode. That 
enables you to enter a string of text as an object and then use actions on 
it that would apply to a string of text.

My guess is that you have misconfigured your Quicksilver keyboard 
shortcuts. Open Quicksilver's preferences window. In the Preferences 
section, select Command in the sidebar, and make sure the activation 
keyboard shortcut is set to the value you want. Then in the Triggers 
section, select Quicksilver in the sidebar, and make sure the keyboard 
shortcut for the "Command Window in Text Mode" trigger is set to something 
different than the main activation shortcut.
